"In a shocking claim, Beyonce is alleged to be the physically abusive partner in the relationship, said sources – providing emphatic evidence that she’s spiraling closer to an epic nervous breakdown, as friends fear!

Pope Francis, who is currently on a state visit to Turkey, joined Muslim faithful in Istanbul to pray at the Grand Mufti of Istanbul, Istanbul Blue Mosque yesterday. The Pope stood with his head bowed and hands clasped in front of him in 2-minutes of silent prayer inside the 17th-century Sultan Ahmet mosque, aiming to show respect for Islam and encourage stronger ties between the two faiths.

Overland plane from Abuja crash-lands in Ilorin...
Below is a statement from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, about the incident
"An Overland flight 1186, an ATR 72 aircraft with Registration number 5N-BPG from Abuja airport to Ilorin, carrying fifty nine passengers and four crew members,veered off the runway at low speed after a normal landing at the Ilorin Airport. The incident which occurred today Saturday, November 29, at 4.45pm, has no casualty recorded. However, the Accident and Prevention Bureau in conjunction with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has begun an investigation into the cause of the incident. The authority wishes to use this medium to reassure Nigerians that safety of the traveling public is still paramount and cannot be compromised.” the statement read...
CAN condemns Kano bomb blast, commiserates with Muslim faithfuls
The Christian Association of Nigeria CAN has condemned the bomb attack that took place yesterday at the Central Mosque in Kano where over 100 persons have been confirmed dead. In a statement released and signed by CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the association said the attack on the place of worship is the greatest evil to human beings and to God almighty. "The entire Christian community in Nigeria received the news of the latest in the series of bomb explosions, this time around at the mosque near the Emir’s palace in Kano, with shock and disbelief. This is most unfortunate given the number of people that lost their lives in their bid to offer prayers to their Almighty in the usual Friday worship at the mosque. On behalf of the entire Christians community under the auspices of CAN, I wish to commiserate with the families of the victims especially those who lost their lives in the attack. This attack on the people of Kano is an attack on all Nigerians and must be addressed as such; this is the time for all to rise up and act,. FG approves the purchase of N9.2bn cooking stoves for rural women
Speaking with state house correspondence after the FEC meeting, the Supervising Minister of Information, Dr. Nurudeen Muhammed said the scheme which is a federal government initiative, is geared towards reducing the use of firewood among rural women in Nigeria.
"The National Clean Cooking Scheme is an aggressive drive to engender clean cooking culture amongst the poor rural women, to reduce and possibly eliminate cooking with solid fossil which is detrimental to health. The scheme is expected to provide 20 million clean stoves over a five-year period at the rate of four million stoves per annum, which will be distributed free of charge. It will also reduce incessant felling of trees, which exposes the country to ecological problems” he said.
The Minister said N9.2bn, inclusive of Value Added Tax, was approved for the procurement of 750,000 units of clean cooking stoves and 18,000 wonder bags, a non-electric slow cooker invented by Sarah Collins, a South African eco-entrepreneur, who came up with the idea of surrounding the pan with cushions six years ago during a power cut in her country.
He said the stoves were expected to be delivered by Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited within a period of 12 weeks.
Minister of Environment Mrs. Lawrecia Mallam who also spoke on the initiative, said the government decided to purchase the cooking stoves for the rural women because it considers cooking with firewood a silent killer.
Police parade 25 year old Nigerian musician turned armed-robber
John Onyekachi Oshomi (pictured right) who claimed to be a bus conductor said he joined the gang because he needed to take care of his family. The two werewas arrested on November 21st.
"I was a commercial bus conductor. We were operating on the Agege Total-Oshodi route. I just got married, but my wife is still in the village. I was looking for money to feed her whenever she comes to Lagos; that was why I went into armed robbery. ” Sunday confessed.
According to The Nation, the Lagos state police commissioner said he got a tip off on November 21 at 10pm that some armed robbers were planning to rob in Lagos. He said he immediately directed the Officer-in-Charge, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police (SP), to go after them.
“With two decoy teams, they stormed their hideout and arrested Onyekachi Oshomi and John Sunday with a revolver pistol. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime including snatching of several cars within the metropolis. Efforts have been stepped up to arrest those that are still at large,” Aderanti said.
Both men will soon be charged to court.
Florida man rapes and beats his 3 year old stepdaughter to death
A 19 year old Florida man Pascal Kaufmann (pictured above) has been arrested for allegedly raping and beating his 3 year old step-daughter to death, Charlie Brame died in hospital on Monday Nov. 24th. Police say she died from severe brain trauma & had signs of recent ‘sexual & aggravated abuse’
According to Orlando Sentinel, the little girl was rushed to the hospital after Kaufmann reported she’d stopped moving at their home on Saturday November 22nd. When paramedics arrived at the home, the little girl was struggling to breathe, with bruises covering her back and head.
Kaufmann told police the girl fell from a bed when he was babysitting her while the girl’s mother was at work. The teen had moved to the US from Germany in August after meeting Charlie’s mum on the internet. The couple had only married about a week ago.

“It was unlikely that she could receive such severe head trauma from falling out of the bed. Her injuries were “more consistent with blunt trauma to the back of the skull.” the police said
The little girl’s father told reporters he’d been wary of Kauffman being around his child and had begged his ex never to leave his child alone with her new husband. He said he’d been trying to remove his little girl from the home before she was killed.
